In 2014, WPL held its first signature fundraiser, After Hours @ The Library. The goal was to raise enough money to purchase an Ultimaker 2 3D printer. Thanks to a sold out event, the Ultimaker was purchased and has been used by customers in 3D-focused programs.
In 2015, the event sold out again and funds raised are covering the purchase of equipment like a digital conversion station, a green screen, and various tools used in music production and editing.
2016’s After Hours @ The Library fundraiser is taking place on Friday, November 25. Tickets will go on sale October 1, 2016 and may be purchased online or at any WPL location. Funds raised will be directed to the purchase of new iPads to be used in a variety of tech programs for children, teens and adults. These devices will also support our goals to offer programs in the community.
